Pinterest lately.

I spend a lot of time in the middle of the night surfing the Humor section of Pinterest. There are lots of SALTS (Smiled a little, then stopped) and some LOL's. But mostly I just find some very amusing crap on there.

Pinterest, you're a time-suck.

I love you anyways.

Right? I hate that!

No. Just no.

On a completely unrelated note: I just watched a video of an elephant giving birth and I feel slightly scarred for life. And this is coming from a Labor and Delivery nurse. Don't do it.

Whoever thought of this shirt deserves a medal and a gold star of awesomeness.

Don't even get me started.

Ha.

Amen.

Oh how I love us. So so so much.

Well, my friends. Today I'm leaving for Hawaii with my entire family. There will be lots of laying on the beach, laughing, eating, and relaxing. Goodness gracious. Have a great weekend friends!

Aloha!

Hi, I'm needy.

I know everyone wants to see a snippet of what life is like around our house, right?

Well, it's your lucky day because this is a completely accurate demonstration of a very normal occurrence around here:

Look familiar, honey?

Bahahaha.

Momma

My Mom is my hero.

She is an amazing example of what unconditional love means. She's been by my side through thick and thin. I've never felt anything other than absolute love from her. She is the best. Forever and ever.

A special shout out Deanna who I'm lucky enough to call my mother-in-law. She is absolutely my second mother, and I'm so grateful that Kyle has such a supportive, strong, amazing Mom. Just like I do.

Go Mom's. They sure do make to world go round.

Happy Mother's Day!

It's happening.

When Kyle and I made our goals for the year we took a look around our house (that we'd been living in for a year) and decided that we needed to take this year to make it look like a home.

Well, a fire has been lit.

Today I went and got a million (...okay 5) paint color samples and paint supplies. I also drug Kyle around the Universe to look at art and accents for around the house. And this is what life is like as a married couple. We actually had a blast and came home with a ton of stuff to decorate our house. He fell in love with the globe in the collage below. He's kind of obsessed with it. As in, last night when we were going to bed he whispered, "I love my globe."

Boys are strange.

I'm so excited to have a house that looks like people have lived here for more than 3 weeks. It's pretty sad, my friends.

Now onto a completely other problem: I have to actually pick a paint color. God help us all. I'm going to have to severely depress my indecisive-ness for such a feat. We're not going to paint all of our walls, just a few for accents. That alone makes me feel a lot better.

We can do this! Go team!

Let's drive.

Just in case people are wondering, the Grand Canyon is a very popular summer destination.

I started panicking a little when I went to book our hotels and there were a ton of hotels that were already booked up. Apparently most people plan their trip to the Grand Canyon years in advance. Whoops. Some people like to live life on the edge. I mean, not us, but some people. We at least plan a few months in advance.

However, due to my relentless nature in hotel searching I found places. Thank goodness.

We practiced our road trip skills on Saturday when we decided to drive to our favorite diner (2 hours away) for a milkshake. We kind of forgot that in order to get to said milkshake place we would have to go over the pass. So while it was 80 degrees at home, we ended up driving through 30 degree weather (with the top down) to get a milkshake. Not the best of planning on our part but I still drank my milkshake. Like a boss. With a frozen face. We ended the day with a gorgeous sunset drive home (with the heat on). This state is ridiculously gorgeous.

My favorite picture from our entire day is the one where I sneakily got a picture of Kyle practically making out with his milkshake. See for yourself:

Whoa, honey. Get a room.

Oh goodness. I can't stop laughing at that picture. Best thing ever.
BAHAHAHAHAHA.

Scattered thoughts

There hasn't been a ton going on around here. Same old same old. I'm officially in my new shift at work, I'm in a new good gym routine and I haven't worn makeup two days. There's something absolutely lovely about that.

This is basically a dump of randomness that has been going on around here.

Some things just have to go on Facebook:

{ 2 }

Our good friend Lauren has season tickets to the Seattle Sounders. She had a few extra tickets and let us tag along with her a few weeks ago. I have to admit I'm not a soccer fan and to make things a little more complicated I had to be awake about 5 hours before I normally would since it was an afternoon game and we went down to tailgate early. It was also quite cold when we got down there. Anyhoo. I was in desperate need of a nap by the end of that day. And I'm still not a huge soccer fan. Go figure.

Look at this cute little pup. I kind of miss his happy little face around our place.

Oh love. Kyle is my absolute happiness in this world. At night when I go to bed and lay awake I just sit there and think about how in love we are. I don't believe there are two people more perfect for each other than we. Soul mates. Forever and ever.

I have had several awesome late night trips to the grocery store. Most of them end up with a random food that I have no idea out to prepare (remember Henry the eggplant?). There was also the time I accidentally shattered an entire bottle of flavoring syrup in the middle of the check out area.

My latest episode of late night shopping with Katie resulted in a carton of Tofu. I'm relatively certain that I've only had Tofu once. I don't have a clue what to do with it and it's still in my fridge. So if anybody has ideas of what I should do with Tofu (with specific instructions since I'm not joking when I say I have no idea what to do with it). These latest shopping trips (along with my random midnight midnight purchases) have only confirmed that I get more awesome as the night goes on.

The weather this week has been amazing. For the first time this year we had to open the windows as Kyle was going to bed to cool the house down. Is summer really coming? Come on summer! You can do it!

Our trip to Hawaii is rapidly approaching. I'm starting to get antsy and I know that there is only one thing I can do to calm down:

I must start packing.

Maui. Maui. Maui.

Well, that's it folks! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!

My future children.

Oh my goodness. I love owls.

No seriously. Forget a dog. I want an owl.

Kyle posted that picture on my Facebook the other day and my sisters response was to tell my mom this is what her future grandchildren will look like.

I wouldn't be disappointed.

Also, it's May. The official month of our vacation to Hawaii. 18 days and counting!

Maui Maui Maui.
